Thirty years ago I left the corporate world and established a private accounting and tax consulting practice in Sussex County.  From this office I provide accounting and tax compliance services for clients living in New Jersey and the contiguous states of Connecticut, New York and Pennsylvania.  Furthermore, the computer age allows me to prepare returns for clients that have left the area and reside in other States.  The computer also allows my office to file your Federal and State tax returns electronically if so desired.  As for the accounting practice, I have limited it, for the most part, to the local area for obvious reasons.

Like any other profession, education and experience is what you should be looking for when selecting an accountant and tax compliance specialist.  In this regard, my education and experience in both areas is extensive.  Tax compliance, planning and research in my office is a year round job.  Keeping up with the constant changes in the tax laws is an everyday requirement.
