New Jersey’s largest private physical therapist-held
group, MARA is also the state’s most experienced
group in providing these services.
In 1977, when physical therapist Tom Charles and
Jerry Sachs founded MARA in Cedar Knolls,
they made a commitment to establish and maintain
the best physical therapist center possible.
Today, MARA has grown to comprise eight outpatient
locations, plus two nursing home contracts that provide
rehabilitation to long-term care patients.
The staff, originally two physical therapists, has now
increased to a staff of 30 therapists and a supporting
administrative team equipped with modern systems and
management techniques.
